I am looking at the CZ 2075 RAMI as a possible CCW gun. It is the first (and so far only) sub compact that actually fit my hand and didn't leave me feeling like I was hanging onto a live snake trying to get away from me. anyone shot one or own one and have some .02 to give? also, what is a fair price on one? any suggestions for IWB holsters for this gun?

I handled a polymer one a couple of months ago and didn't care for it. For me, the safety levers were placed so far forward and were so thin and flat that it was next to impossible for me to operate them. This may or may not be the case for you.

I routinely carry my .40 caliber RAMI, but not IWB. I use a simple Galco Yaqui holster for most carry and the RAMI stay put nicely.

I've had mine since they first came available, but have not had the opportunity to handle the newer polymer one.

I checked both out at a gun show a couple of months ago. The controls being too thin/small to engage is a common complaint, and I noticed it right away. Hopefully CZ or one of their enterprising shooting club members will come up with an aftermarket solution.

Otherwise, the RAMI looks to be a fine pistol. I would have bought it if I needed a pocket 9.

If you're considering a CZ of any sort, you need to check out the CZ Forum. Here's a link to the RAMI subfourm:

Edit: I just read on the forum that a CZ-75 slide stop will fit the RAMI. Obviously, it will make the pistol a bit thicker, but there'd be plenty of "meat" to grab onto. I'm sure CZ-USA would send you one for the asking.

I have one and it is a great carry gun (when I travel out of IL). As far as the controls, the slide stop is hard to use so I just sling shot. The safety is easy to use despite being thin.

polymer or metal

one more question. I can handle the extra weight from the all metal frame, is there any other reason to consider the composite framed version? seems like the metal frame would be just that much more durable.

The reality of the RAMI vs the newer RAMI polymer model is that the RAMI P is
only ONE OUNCE lighter than the RAMI. You are not getting any advantage there.

The RAMI P might be a bit thinner, but I have yet to handle one.

That said:
I'd still like to have a second RAMI. A RAMI P with the stainless steel slide.

HIGH NOON makes some excellent CZ holsters and usually without the waiting time of custom makers.

rami 9mm

Just traded for a rami 9mm p, s.s. slide withs.s. controls also, black frame, grip with 14 rd mag and sleave fits my hand like a glove. trigger reach is ideal and absolutely no problem reaching controls, ambi safety, love this version more than steel one i had before

Glad to hear it! Most who have bought the P really like them.

I just bought one in 9mm and really enjoy it. It conceals well. In business attire, I use a simple belly band. High Noon Holsters has a lot of holsters for the Rami available, both as a stocking or custom item. I ordered 2 in stock holsters on the evening of the 19th, and they arrived a few minutes ago. I got the "Skin Deep" which is a belt holster and the "Split Decision" which is a tuckable IWB. I have a few of their other holsters for other weapons.

IMHO the Rami is a terrific little gun.

I've tried damned near every compact revolver and semi for concealed carry, and the 9 mm Rami alloy frame works best for me. It's a little chunky, but thinner guns don't fit my hand well, and the cocked and locked trigger is a major benefit.

I use a wonderful HBE IWB holster, but I don't think he's currently making holsters. My next choice would be a Tucker Texas Heritage - very comfortable leather.

my wife has a RAMI I use it at the range ( my carry weapon is a 75B) its a fine little gun only compact that doesn't feel weird in hand

I personally love my RAMI-P Stainless 9mm. It's pretty accurate for the size. It feels great ergonomically, and it gives you the option of a full grip with the 14 round extended mag or a smaller, more concealable grip with the 10 round mag. I also bought a stock High Noon holster that I'm getting for Christmas from my wife, so I'll let you know how it works out. I agree that the controls are a little thin, but I bought it specifically for CCW, so that's what I want. I personally like to carry Condition 2 so I don't have to mess with a safety or any controls if the SHTF.

I don't mind the recoil at all, but know that it's snappier than a CZ 75 (which is to be expected). My wife was all set to have the RAMI-P become "her" gun until she shot it and thought the recoil was too snappy. But she's used to shooting my CZ 75, which barely recoils at all. So I guess it'll have to remain "my" gun. Aw shucks! :D

I just have to find something else for her. Guess we'll have to buy another gun. Aw shucks! :D
