For those of you that shoot or have shot a CZ 452 Lux or other 452's, which 22 ammo did you have the best results with?

I have the Mannlicher and have only used the value pack Federal and Remington so far. I can hit 1/2 pieces of skeet clays at 50 yards all day, but haven't tried anything serious at 100yards yet. I keep hearing the Wolf match ammo is good stuff.

I've had good luck with the federal bulk pack from walmart and the CCI offerings. I tend to stay way from the Remington .22 stuff due to past experiences in other guns.

If you haven't found it already, you may want to look over at rimfirecentral.com as they have a whole section devoted to CZ rimfires.

the bulk CCI ammo (Can't remember the name, "Blazer" maybe) that I got at Sports Authority for $8 a brick a year or so ago shoots great. I shot in a small bore match once with my Trainer model and that el-cheapo ammo and finished in *next* to last place, beating out one guy with an Anshutz. :) I've found it shoots quite nicely with high-velocity stuff. I've forgotten the manufacturer, but "Zapper" has shot under an inch at 100 yards before. I haven't yet tried any match ammo, or done much shooting closer in other than at spinner/flag targets, mainly offhand, so I can't help you there.

I've yet to find a .22 brand that doesn't shoot well. But the expensive Velocitors, etc., don't seem to shoot all that much better than the cheap stuff.

Almost anything. :) It, along with my other .22's, doesn't like Fiochi MAXAC. It's a training round and I wouldn't train with it. I've tried 25+ different types of ammo.

Wolf MT is my go-to for target. It's always at or under .5" at 50 yds. when I'm on the ball. Inexpensive. Eley Subsonic Hollow Xtra is my hunting round. Quiet and hard hitting.

CZ452 Trainer.

452 Range Test

Range test yesterday on my new 452 Lux.

(~ means "okay"

CCI Mini Mags ++
CCI Quickshock ++
CCI Velocitor ~
Federal Gold Medal Match ~
CCI Std Velocity ~
Remington Target (Eley) ++

I ordered a bunch of different ammo from Midway & will be testing them soon.

I have the CZ 453. A 1" group at 100 yards can be done with the Walf MT.

My 452 is not finickey. It likes everything I've tried with the exception of the given, remington golden bullet, and their viper. By the way my 452 feeds shorts, longs, long rifles without a hitch.

The best bargain I've had with my .22 CZ 452s (as it relates to group size) is Wolf Match Extra.

Wolf Match Target and CCI subsonics group the best from my rifle.

Winchester X-perts group the best of any cheap bulk ammo.

Winchester Wildcats shoot great too if you can find them.

Both my good ones are out of production: PMC Moderator (most excellent) and Federal made the other stuff, can't remember the model, came in a red and blue box, 500 in 10 boxes of 50, about $12/500, 40gr lead
