I put this on the CZ Forum and have not gotten a reply yet so I thought I would try here too. I picked up a new 452 rifle in 17 hrm. I had been looking for a 17 hrm for some time and this on was at great price. Now looking on the website it looks like a 452 Lux, but they do not come in 17 hrm. On the box it says ZKM 452 special and on the receiver it says 452-2E ZKM. None of the other 452's looks like it. Did the used to make the 452 Lux in 17 hrm?

I assume by saying it looks like a Lux then it has a hogback stock? Is the stock walnut or beech? Walnut is dark in colour and beech is pretty light. The guys at rimfirecentral.com will know for sure, but I'm sure someone here will know too.

The CZ website is pretty bad if you ask me, they don't list every model. In Australia we have two CZ 452 Americans, one with the walnut stock which is close to $700 and another with a hard wood stock which is under $500, their website only has the walnut stock listed.

I guess the important thing is.... how does it shoot? :D

It does have the hogback (Drop Comb) stock. I was sure it is a walnut stock, but after going to rimfirecentral it looks like it should be beech. It is the darkest beech I have seen before. I took it out to the range yesterday to shoot it. I set the target up at 50 yard and the accuracy was amazing. I set up 5-6 clay pigeons at the same distance and shot them until there was no more orange showing. I was hitting little pieces of orange with no problem. Oh all of this was with iron site and resting my arm on the bench. My wife was with me and she was amazed too. I have CZ75 pistol that is a tack driver too. I think I am going to just start buying CZ's when I want a new gun :D

Thanks for the tip about rimfirecentral.com. I keep forgetting that forum.
