Hey guys, just picked up a CZ-452 Military Trainer (LOVE IT) and got back from the range. My groupings at 25 yards are literally one hole, but I'm wondering about the tangent sights that my rifle is fitted with. Currently, at 25 yards, I'm dead on with the sights set to 75 yards and about an inch and a half low when the sights are set to 25 yards. What type of ammunition (or velocity) is this tangent sight calibrated for?

Here's an example of the sights:

I adjusted my front sight. My Trainer was the same way. Shot bugholes at 25, but was a little low. I just played with the front sight, fired 5 rounds, and repeated until I got it right. I only shoot standard velocity LR through my gun, so I calibrated my sights for that.

I never messed with mine and it's been dead-on according to the sight markings. I use Winchester Dynapoints. They're 40 grain hp and, I think, 1100 fps or thereabouts. I love my CZ.

In first pic the sight is set to 50 meters & in the 2nd pic it is set to 25 meters.
Front sight is adjusted for fine set @ specific range.

With the Remington Golden bullet from Wally World bulk pack my CZ452 is right on with the sight markings. It was also dead on from the box. Didnt have to adjust it at all. Best $230.00 I ever spent. Bought some years ago.
