cz 52 mods

Any feedback on the CZ-52 extended barrels?
I can only find the federal ones, sold at makarov.com and FAC: are there others?
Basically I am still wondering if a flash hider can be made to work on a CZ-52 in some fashion, while still allowing the action to cycle.
Another of my odd projects...

note: someday I will have unlimited funds and no weapons laws then I will be able to try out all my ideas as I have them without regard for my finances or the legalities. If it works, great; if not i just pitch it into the scrap metal collection.

Yes, like my dream of a single action, striker fired single stack pistol that shoots a shortened .50 AE round. But I digress.

I haven't heard great things about the Federal barrels in general, but having one custom made by those willing to do it (Bar-Sto, KKM, SSK, etc . . ) costs a lot more. Enough to by 3 or 4 of the Federal barrels and hope that one is decent.

At any rate I'm really interested in your findings and I just sent off my paperwork for my 03FFL C&R. Only think on my "must have" list so far is at least 1 CZ-52.

Let me applaud your decision to go for the C&R liscence! Its a great way to expand your collection, possibilities, and drain your kids college fund at the same time!
I obviously dont know too much about any mods to the cz-52, but i can say for sure that the stock version is one of the most fun to shoot period! So much fun, that my friend keeps borrowing mine and I haven't fired her myself in months!
It should definitely be on your 'buy it' list.
But be careful: that C&R is a cash sink!
