I have the CZ 527 Varmint, not the American.
I just wanted to tell you to tell your friend to check the twist rate on the rifle. If it is 1:12 then he will be limited to the mid range bullets, around 55 grains. If it is 1:9 like mine, he will be able to shoot the heavier bullets.
I would expect it to be very accurate and precise.
Mine shoots everything from 35 grain up to 75 grain at 1" MOA. I can provide photos of the targets if needed.
Also, the rifles are 5.56 NATO chambered, so you can shoot 5.56 ammo without concern to pressures, I have shot several rounds of M855 through mine, still 1 MOA.
