My new CZ 527m carbine came in this week, This i a gun i have wanted for many years and finally i got me one. it is the carbine with walnut stock and sights, in 7.62x39 with the single set trigger. this one is the newer up dated one with the screw adjustable front and rear sights, the front has a fiber optic insert and 2 set screws, the blade pivots and moves up or down depending on the screw u tighten. they have a nice sight picture and the sight cover has open spots for light to come in. The rear sight has 2 screws as well and is easy to adjust.

i was looking a the older style rifle with the normal dove tail rear sight that ha the forging on the barrel to hold it, this rifle just looked more classic to me.
But the new sights are very nice and the might be made by n.e.c.g. If so those sights are nice. the stock is nice walnut some figure to it, but not much. I was hoping on getting one with some tiger stripping, but very happy. The checkering is nice and sharp, looks cnc not laser.

The bluing is very nice like all CZ firearms, The gun has a nice recoil pad is fitted good to, its very close to the pachmayr pads. The fit and finish is near perfect witch is to be expected from CZ. The 18.5 inch barrel has a nice resets target crown, it looks to be the same couture as the american rifles.
This rifle shipped with a target with a 50 meter 3 shot group of about a inch, one shot was a flyer. The ammo they used is S&B sp 123 grain brass case stuff. These guns can shoot under a inch at 100 yards even with steel case ammo. i will see what the gun likes i hope it likes that 154 sp steel case ammo, it is so cheap it's not even worth reloading for. Tho i will reload for this gun the sierra pro hunter looks good for the money, i would like to find some cheaper bullets as well.

The action is smooth as silk and the safety is smooth and firm. The set trigger is adjustable it is at 3 1/4 pound for the main trigger and less the one pound for the set, th it brakes so clean it almost feels like more but the scale don't lie. event the normal trigger brakes super clean with no creep.
it will go under a pound safely when i was messing with it but just over 3 pound is nice for a sub 6 pound gun.

The overall length in 37 1/4 in the lop is 13''7/8 unset and 14'' 1/8 set, these rifles have a 5 round single stack magazine that is removable, u can not top load them.

The purpose of the is rifle is for hunting in tight spots or longer walks, witch is tough to do when using other peoples land i could shore use the walking. The other plus it that ammo is cheap even around here i can get tulammo for 11.99 for 40 round. i don't have much use for fmj's so most ammo i buy is hollow points or spire points. i hope to shoot this rifle on the weekend, need to check the zero, i was messing with the sights lol. I will go to some shops looking for hunting ammo to try but money is tight right now.

Sorry no photos just yet i am trying to use something with a better camera to show the rifle. if u guy have one i would love to here about it and what u use it for and shoot out them. thanks. troy.

I've 2 CZs in 7.62x39 and found that I would get misfires with most commercial brass cases ammo. The chambers on mine work better with steel cased ammo. I also replaced the firing pin spring with a heavier spring to eliminate light primer strikes.

Glad your happy with it so far.
I'm looking forward to some pictures. I got bullied into a 6.5cm build with a buddy of mine (ok, not bullied) but at some point I'm gonna get an x39, or Grendel, carbine.
i would like the american in 6.5 with 24 inch barrel that and a 2-7 scope would be a nice deer rifle. the 223 fs is on the top of my list tho. i think cz needs to make the carbine in 6.5 grendel.

Here are some photos, not very good but lets u guys see.

i need to get some ammo don't have much cash hope to work some this weekend. any of u know any places that will hip to ny, they say it is legal no for us to do it, but most places wont because the are not up to date on are laws.i think buds will, for now i want 20 or 40 off each i would like to try some hp's some sp and the 154. the shop around here only have fmj's i picked up 2 40 round boxes of tulammo 122 fmj steel from Walmart for 10.40 a box i have to go over to pa and check there its only 10 miles away.

Forgot to mention that my cousin used a Burris Fullfield 2-7 scope on the 527, and the yardage marks were extremely close to the Wolf ammo. I’ve also found the Wolf SP to be very accurate in my x39 AR’s.
