Down to this guys. What should the stock be?

The CZ550 Varmint laminate
The CZ550 Varmint Kevlar (HS Precision)
The CZ550 Varmint walnut.

I really prefer the walnut stock, as I think it elegant and warm. They all weigh the same according to the website. The Kevlar stocked version has an aluminum bedding block, which as I understand it, is supposed to make the bedding more solid, hence a more accurate rifle.

The price difference is about $160 or so. I could pillar bed the walnut stock, or have it done professionally for about $100.

I'm not worried about the elements, as I only take the rifles out on nice, warm, sunny days. If I were to hump a big game hunting rifle, it would not have a heavy barrel as does this one.

Suggestions?

If you like the wood stock, by all means, go with it!
I've held the kevlar one and do not care for the palmswell on the grip.

For nice, purddy days, not the good ol' $hity days (which I do love), go with watever you thinks looks the best and buy it, hope you like it whatever you buy:)

I am a larger guy at 6'2" and 275lbs. I found the laminated to fit me like no other rifle has before. Ordinarily I would go with a wood stock because CZ does them so well, but the profile of the laminated stock just felt so right to me. If you can, try them on for size. If not, go with what stock you like better. I love giving my opinions, but it is your decision. Don't buy something just because 90% of the people on the poll say they like it. Oh yeah, which caliber? 22-250 or .308? I would have gotten one a long time ago, but I already have a .308

I don't really know which caliber, but probably 308 as I already have a 223 CZ527 and don't really see the benefit to the 22-250

I agree with juk said. Go with what fits. I like the walnut and the laminate. Held a few kevlars, never did like them.
