Down to this guys. What should the stock be?
The CZ550 Varmint laminate
The CZ550 Varmint Kevlar (HS Precision)
The CZ550 Varmint walnut.
I really prefer the walnut stock, as I think it elegant and warm. They all weigh the same according to the website. The Kevlar stocked version has an aluminum bedding block, which as I understand it, is supposed to make the bedding more solid, hence a more accurate rifle.
The price difference is about $160 or so. I could pillar bed the walnut stock, or have it done professionally for about $100.
I'm not worried about the elements, as I only take the rifles out on nice, warm, sunny days. If I were to hump a big game hunting rifle, it would not have a heavy barrel as does this one.
Suggestions?
