Thinking about purchasing a cz 550 varmint with the kevlar stock. Wondering if any of you guys new the accuracy potential of the gun, and your likes, and dislikes before i spend a grand. Thanks!!

Looks like that link is for the 527. The 550 is the long action version in 308 and 22-250. Which chambering were you looking at? I've got the 22-250 model only with the laminate stock. Had it for 5 or 6 years now I think. It's been a darn good rifle. I love shooting it and it's very accurate with the right bullets. The only downside to the 22-250 is the 1:14 twist. It really needs to be faster, so you can run the heavier bullets. That is my only complaint. Haven't checked on the 308 but I don't think twist will be an issue there. The trigger on my rifle is clean, both set and un-set, and the action is nice and smooth. Not sure what else to say other than it's one of my favorite rifles. Good easy rifle to practice do some light duty target work.

Thanks!! I would get the 22-250, and the 1-14 twist would be perfect for me. I wouldn't be shooting anything over a 50 grain bullet.

Sounds like you'll be all set then. I've had the best results with Reloder 10x with 52 gr. Shilen Microjackets, but it does nearly as well with 52 gr. Matchkings. It'll shoot well under an inch with that combo and it shoots right about an inch with 55 gr. Remington PSP's (found in bulk at Cabelas). All with 10x.

I usually load 52 grain A-MAX in my 22-250 and 223, I will probably try those first, and I have had luck with h4895 and varget out of both. Thanks again!
