Hi there shotgun gurus. I've been thinking about picking up a nice shotgun for getting into shooting clay pigeons at my local gun range. Unfortunately, I really don't have much experience with shotguns past my old H&R Single Shot 12ga. I do have experience with CZ brand handguns and I'm quite impressed with them. I would like to know if anyone has any experience with CZ shotguns. Now, before you guys start telling me I need to spend tons of money on a Ruger or Beretta or some such, I'll have to stop you there. First, I just don't have the kind of money to buy one of those. 2nd, this is just going to be for fun for my wife and I. A way to extend our time at the range, ya know. So I'm not willing to spend a paycheck on a shotgun just yet. If I get into it and really like it, then I'll think about getting a better shotgun. That way I'll have 2 (always the best plan).

Thanks in advance.

CZ 712

I picked up a 712 with a 26" barrel about six weeks ago. I like it! It is fairly light and pulls up well. I put about 100 rounds through it and only had one jam when I tried to fire five shells as fast as possible. This was low brass, low cost Winchester game loads. I paid $320 OTD for mine. For the price I don't think you can beat it. I also have a Benelli Super 90 w/ a synthetic stock. Of course the Benelli is nicer...but almost three times the price.
