I'm considering a CZ 712 as a replacement for my pump gun hunting bunnies and tree rats. Anybody have any experience with these and willing to share positive and negative impressions and/or feedback?
I don't own one, but had the chance to fire one at a productions test shoot. We put hundreds upon hundreds of rounds through it and it ran smooth. One minor hickup towards the end of the day, but this was attributed to the high volume of ammunition and never having cleaned it. Took her apart, cleaned with rag in seconds, ran like a champ after wards.
Smooth shooter, felt good, not too heavy and priced right. If you're looking to use it for upland, I'd say it's a winner.
I've got an older one I bought used last year. Its been 100% reliable. I've been considering picking up a Utility model and building a 3-gun shotgun out of it.
