I bought my son a CZ 720 youth for 4H shotgunning. It is a nice little gun, but not perfect.

I'm looking for a recoil pad. I'm not sure which is best, but I'm looking at Kick Eze, Decelerator, and Limbsaver. No one I've found makes a model for this model, but Kick Eze has one that will fit. I'd prefer not to have to grind one.

So which brand/design is the best, or are they all roughly equal?

The next issue is the bolt release. It is very stiff, such that he can barely depress it. He cannot depress it through 2 or 3 rounds of trap. I would like to add an extended release, but so far I can't find one.

Does anyone make an extended bolt release for the CZ 720? Is it possible to use one made for a different model? (I can fit it if need be.)

Thanks!

No after market parts for them at all that I know of.

No other brand parts would likely fit.

Any decent gunsmith should be able to slick up the bolt release for you though.

Grind to Fit is going to be your best option I think.

The CZ is not mainstream, or probably not 'standard wood shape' enough for anyone to offer pre-fit pads.

Limb-Saver is very good.
As are the other two brands you mentioned.

Which is better?
I simply don't know, because I have never used every model of every pad the three companies make.

I guess you have to 'Pays your money and takes your chance's' like I have always had to do?

Sorry I can't be of more help.

I ended up with a Kick Eze 106, the size that fits an 870 Youth. It fits pretty well, it's maybe a few thousandths wide. The main problem is that the CZ has a slight radius rather than a flat butt.

I put the pad on and it looks fine, but I'm going to go ahead and shorten the stock and grind the pad to fit. The Kick Eze does a wonderful job of lessening the recoil, I'd unscientifically say that recoil is about half what it once was.

I still haven't found anything as far as a bolt release. Football season starts the first week of August, so after that I'm going to send it back to CZ and let them rig it out.
