I just bought a 12ga Stoeger Coach gun that I haven't taken possession of yet and I'd like to replace the plastic plate with a recoil reducing rubber butt pad. Are there any direct replacements or grind to fit models that are close? I've been searching online and people talk about replacing the butt pad with this one or that, but they never post the part number of which one they bought.

Check Limbsaver or Pachmayr. They can make a huge difference in shooting enjoyment. I installed a "grind to fit" on my Stoeger and the difference is amazing.

Was this on a Stoeger Coach gun? If so, Do you remember the part number or size of the pad and what brand you used? I've fit a Limbsaver before, but I had to take the plastic plate to a store in order to find one that was close. I can't do that right now so I need to order it online and would rather not have to to return pads until I find the right one.

I think this one might fit, but I won't know until I have the shotgun in hand. https://kickeezproducts.com/collect...ecoil-pads/products/pre-fit-kz-111-recoil-pad

I don't think you want that one.

I think/believe that the Uplander and the Coach have the same stock and action with different length barrels to become either the Coach or the Uplander model.

You may be able to contact Stoeger to ask if they are the same stock or maybe ask them if the butt plate part# is the same for both models.

Having said that,,,
According to the link below, the KZ-105 is listed for a Stoeger Uplander wood stocked 12ga.

Note, it does say you should match the template of the prefits because things change with out them knowing etc

Not a coach gun. It was a limb saver. I'll probably be doing another one as I'm picking up a Stevens 20 ga. 301 single shot today. My right shoulder is not in good shape so these recoil pads are a life saver.

Thanks. I did have the 105 bookmarked just in case since I did see the stock for sale somewhere and it was advertised to fit both the Coach Gun and Uplander. The problem is they might mean the Coach Gun Supreme which has it's own rubber butt plate and won't fit on the standard Coach Gun stock. I guess I'll just have to wait until the shotgun is in my hands.

So I printed out the sixteen pages of templates from Limbsaver and not a single one will fit. None of the screw holes line up and none of them are wide enough. I now have to look through each of the other brands to see if something will fit, but it's not looking good so far. The Kickeez 105 and 111 won't work either.

You will want to get one slightly oversized and have it ground to fit. get the screws hole right if possible since the stock has those holes already drilled

I contacted Stoeger by phone a few days ago to see if they have something that will fit. They said they don't have anything that will fit or even come close and they don't know if any aftermarket pads will work. ETA: Even the Kick Killer lace up pads are not wide enough.

For anyone wanting to know the dimensions: W: 1.81" L: 4.95" Screw hole spacing: 3.43"

I did end up having to drill a new hole for one screw on mine. Easy to do. It's a shame you can't find one wide enough. :(
