Lowest/best price CZ 75 Compact magazines. 10 rd, what to look for who to stay away from?

Thanks

CDNN, MidwayUSA, Greg Cote, and 1StopMags all have great prices on MecGars, with Cote and 1Stop being the least expensive. All of them are first rate companies, but I haven't seen ten round mags at their sites. You might contact them directly but prepared to spend extra as only factory mags come in ten round capacity.

Mec-Gar made magazines for CZ and claims that they are good as factory magazines.
I have 5 of those never had any problems.

I went with Mecgar. The price difference is considerable and they are just as good. They look identical and I read that mecgar actually makes mags for CZ, so why pay $50-60 when you can pay $20 a piece?

Greg Cote usually has good prices on the Mec-Gar magazines for the CZs. I have had great luck with both the magazines and his website.

We have CZs and the Mec-Gars are every bit as good as what comes with the gun.

+1

I would rather get 2 Mec-Gar mags for the price of 1 CZ magazine. I have ran both in my 75, and haven't had any issues. And, if you believe the internet, I've read that quite a few folks think the Mec-Gars are better than the CZ OEM mags (spring life IIRC).

Mec-Gar anti-friction mags

I had a Mec-Gar anti-friction mag. These are a little different from the regular mags. I don't know if they make them for the CZ 75 Compact but they're the only mags where I experienced a couple of jams though a CZ 75.

I've never had a Mecgar magazine let me down. Use them in several guns.

Never used an "anti-friction mag" though. I wipe mine down with an oily rag whenever I pick them up off the ground, keeps 'em slick and shiny.

Just throwing this in.

MecGar mags use thicker, stronger springs than 'factory' CZ mags. Any feeding problems I've had we're solved with the MecGar's. The spring in the new one is about 30% thicker for my P01.

I contacted CZ UB about this. MecGar does make many of their mags but to CZ's specifications.

A very good point. When a firearms manufacturer buys mags from a magazine manufacturer, they quote specifications. Those specifications may be either more or less restrictive than the mags YOU can buy on the retail market from that same magazine manufacturer.

The fact that a given magazine manufacturer has or does make magazines for a particular firearms manufacturer isn't evidence that the magazines they sell on the retail market for that particular firearms manufacturer's products are identical to factory mags. They could potentially be of lesser quality--or perhaps even better quality. It all depends on what the magazine manufacturer considers acceptable for the retail market and on what the firearms manufacturer specifies when they place an order.

I have had good luck with MecGar mags, so this isn't intended to discourage folks from buying their products. It's just something to keep in mind.
