I had actually never fit a barrel before, period. However, I purchased a threaded barrel for my CZ75 and it arrived today. After a bit of help from Google, I decided to give it a try. It took about an hour but I'm pretty sure it's good to go. Now all I have to do is get a new booster for my 45 suppressor in order to shoot it suppressed. I'll have to see if this new barrel is any more accurate than the old non threaded one. Any experience with these threaded barrels? Do they tend to be more accurate or about the same? This one will match my kadet now too.

Its a replacement CZ barrel. From the CZ USA store. They run about $185 plus shipping.

What generally makes a CZ barrel accurate is how well it locks up with the slide. The CZ focus is on the rear of the assembly, not the front.

A CZ factory barrel is a factory barrel -- and typically pretty good in terms of fit and accuracy,.so I doubt you'll see much difference in terms of accuracy, and haven't heard -- after following this subject for years -- of any barrels (after-market) that stand out in terms of performance.

You might want to ask this question on one of the CZ forums: here http://www.czfirearms.us/ or here http://www.czforum.com/

(Bar-Sto made CZ barrels for a while, back before CZ became more popular -- and dropped the line from lack of customer interest. They might have different results, nowadays, if they started offering them, again.)

You can get improved accuracy over the stock barrel depnding on how well you fit the new barrel. The barrels themselves are equally accurate.
