So I picked up a cz 75-b recently. I took it out and wrung it out a bit, and was dissapointed to find that it shoots about 6" high at 20 yards, consistently. With factory and handloads, cast and jacketed bullets, all very consistent at 6" high. Does anyone here know if there is a higher replacement front sight that's available, either factory or aftermarket? I haven't been able to find one with my google-fu.
Many thanks

Before doing ANYTHING that costs money, I'd call CZ (or email them if you can't get through) and ask them for a replacement sight. Tell them which model you've got, how much you're shooting at what distance. They'll probably ask you to measure the front or rear sight and then send you a replacement front or rear (most likely a lower rear.)

It doesn't make sense to spend money for an adjustable sight unless you want one for other reasons. To further complicate things, an adjustable rear MAY sit higher than the installed sight.

You can use the following calculator from Brownells to determine how much HIGHER the front sight must be, or how much LOWER the rear sight should be. (I've used it several times, and it can sometimes be quirky to get it working.)

With my CZ clone (which has adjustable sights) I entered 6", 7.5" and 720" and it told me I needed a .058 higher front or lower rear.

CZ will exchange the rear sight. I had to remove the sight, send it in with a note on how far off its shooting. The sight has a number on the bottom, and they do the math for you:)
