I just bought a CZ 75B stainless. Where can I find the best quality mags at a decent price. I want mags that will work.

Thanks,

Mike

Mec Gar, they make the CZ magazines now, they work very well and cost around $20.

CDNN investments has been a good souirce of magazines for me. They sell the Mec-gar as well as factory CZ mags at a good price.

Not bashing or saying mec gar are not good......but. I have a 75BD and have 7 mags for it; 6 are factory and 1 is a mec gar. I have had more than a few stovepipes in my CZ and they were all with the mec gar.

Unless the factory magazines are more then a few years old they are most likely Mec Gar made.

+3 Mec-Gar for my 75B...no problems. I/2 the price and the same mag.

glk23 : Czs have had an increase of FTE problems (especially with 9mm Blazer Aluminum) and know it. I emailed CZ-USA about mine and they gave no response. 3 Days later an extractor spring arrived in the mail. I shot it today and it was flawless. Czs are fussy about some ammo. I'd get a Wolff extra power extractor spring.

I was using WWB and every time (4-6) they happened with the mec gar.

Of my seven mags, two (a 10rd and 15 rd) came with the gun, the mec gar was $22, two factory new from CDNN for $20, one used leo marked 16rd for $11 and a used 15rd for $20. If you keep your eyes out on the internet you can find factory mags at decent prices.

Just a note about CZ's. While they are fine guns, they have a reputation for having problems with springs. My brother and I have both owned CZ's that shot perfectly for a while and suddenly started malfunctioning. Replacing magazine springs as well as the recoil springs and the extractor springs made them perfect again. I had both factory as well as Mec-gar mags and replacing the springs with Wolfe springs solved the problem.

I keep hearing that, and have never had that happen with any CZ magazine, and I have more than a few. Must be just lucky. There are a number of folks who switch to a Wolff +10% mag spring just to be safe, on all thier mags, so if you want to, go for it.

As a precaution, I replace all my CZ and Mecgar mag springs with Wolff. I also replace the recoil springs in my CZ with Wolff and usually choose the next higher power setting up from factory. Always had great success in my CZ's doing this although they've been 100% out of the box.
