I have two CZ-82's and love the little buggers. Amazingly accurate and fun to shoot. I am now looking for ammo and magazines. Where the heck are you guys seeing used/aftermarket (new?) CZ-82/83 magazines?

During this period of DIRE gun, ammo, and magazine invisibility, you may have to wait a while.

CZ-82/83 magazines have always been scarce, with only used ones generally available. Wolff Springs, recently, began offering mag springs, which is a real plus!! (They 82 and 83 use the same magazines, by the way; the slightly smaller .380 ammo allows you to stuff one extra round in the mag. '82s were only made in 9x18, by the way -- while the almost identical 83, was chambered in .32 acp, .380, and 9x18.)

Keep your eye on the CZ-USA website WEBSTORE, and you'll be able to pick up a new one, now and then. They're pricey, but the probably best route to take if you really want a trouble-free mag. ($39 plus shipping; get two to keep the shpping portion of the cost manageable...)

The C&R sites will eventually have them again, as will CDNN. http://www.cdnninvestments.com/cz.html

I'm sure other sites offer them, as well, but everybody seems to be out, right now.

All I checked were indeed out, hence my asking. Didn't see any at the show yesterday. No rush, just looking and as in the thread title I knew the tidbits in parenthesis. Thanks.

I've had an eye on Wolff for awhile, waiting on these and just checked again, after your post.....I'm still not seeing anything at Wolff except recoil & FP spings.

Can you link to that?

CZ-USA is out of stock on these or I'd buy there.

Sorry. My error. I passed on what I had been told, without checking. They're not there.

If I was in need of a mag spring for a CZ 82/83, I'd buy a single set of Browning BDA springs, as it's very similar in size and capacity... That's wouldn't be too costly an experiment.

(Substitutions often work. The Browning Hi-Power recoil spring, for example, is a near duplicate of the CZ recoil spring, and fits the guide rod in the CZ, while the springs in Wolff's catalog for CZs are really for the Tanfoglio/Witness guns, with a larger diameter.)

Well, I do have a Beretta 84...Same as BDA so I could easily give those a try to see.....I'd definitely want to test fire, even if they appear to fit. I'll report back of this when I get a chance. Good idea Walt!

I agree the CZ82 is an outstanding pistol. I got two mags when I bought mine but I have not seen any more mags anywhere. I'm sure I could order more at some pretty high prices, but being it's not one of my primary carry pistols I'll wait to see if any pop up in one of the used mag boxes at the GS. The 82 mags are easy to spot with the crossed swords on the side near the baseplate.
