CZ 82 annoyance suggestions

I picked up a CZ 82 not too long ago as my first (and currently only) centerfire handgun, and I've found one annoyance that I'm wondering if anybody else has the same problem and what have they done about it.

The problem is with the raised portion of the trigger guard where it meets the grip, it has sharp edges that irritate my middle finger. Adjusting my grip reduces the issue, but it's still an annoyance that causing me to reduce my range time.

I guess wearing gloves or taping my finger up would be an option, but to me those just aren't long term solutions.

Any recommendations? Is this something a gunsmith could grind down for me?

Unfortunately from the many many CZ82 reviews I've read and watched, not a single other person has mentioned this as being an issue, which means I haven't found any solutions either.

Other than this one issue that is on the edge of being a show stopper, I really like the gun. yeah the mag release is a PITA like everybody says, and even with an 18 pound wolf recoil spring some of the euro steel ammo occasionaly stings the web of my hand, but those are minor annoyance I'm more than willing to live with.

So if somebody could provide a good recommendation it would be greatly appreciated. Otherwise this CZ's either going to be sold, or relegated to safe queen/rainy day status, and I'm going to have to drop some cash on a different center handgun that hopefully I'm actually willing to practice with.

You could take it to a gunsmith and have him smooth out the sharp edges, and then refinish the it with Duracoat.
Could you wrap the trigger guard with self-fusing silicone tape?

The only problem I've had with my CZ82 has been some light strikes a few rounds of Russian steel cased ammo.

Sand paper and/or judicious filing and then some cold blue would be my solution.

CZ82s are not blued from the factory. They are coated/painted.
Black barbecue grill paint would be a close match for the factory finish.
I've thought about having mine dehorned and completely refinished with black Duracoat.
Thought about doing it myself. I just don't have the time.

What would be sweet, would be to refinish the entire gun with black nitride, just like the slides on Glocks/Ruger SR9/40.

If it takes more than a few file strokes then this gun isn't for you. How much do you want to sell it for?

Yeah, you should just sell it to me.
I understand the issue of the sharp edges being uncomfortable.
I say, lightly file, sand, and repaint.
I've thought about giving mine a melt job and having it duracoated.
Black nitride (Tenifer/Tufftride) would be a sweet finish, too.

I had the same issue with a CZ52 briefly owned. Those edges under the trigger guard were sharp!
