I'm trying to improve my grip on my CZ 82 and figured rubber grips and an extension on the magazine would be a good start. My search has proved fruitless so far. If you can point me in the right direction I'd be much obliged.

Some guys on the CZ forum have petitioned hogue to come out with grips for the cz82 +83 and last I checked they were due out around January. The Beretta basepads fit the CZ82 magazines with some minimal fitting.

Thanks Non. The Beretta web site had just the thing, from what I've read these pads fit like a glove and will also fit the 10 round CZ 75 magazines.

Large gloves are too small for me Harmon. Now that they are beginning to get arthritic, I need all the help I can get:) I bought the CZ 82 thinking my daughter would like it. She hasn't warmed up to it yet, still prefers the CZ 75. I changed grips on the 75 several times and wasn't comfortable with any, including rubber. Having tried everything but the wood grips I decided to test them out, and I have been very happy with them.

There are some nice wood grips available for the 82 with czekering and everything in fact I may have an extra set you could talk me out of. Shoot me a pm if you are interested

With hands that big, you need a desert eagle :D

As a CZ82 owner, I'm curious to know, which Beretta base pads specifically...? Also, Hogue Handall large size will fill out the width of the grip, although they won't extend it any. I bought a set for mine and it's even more shootable now than it was before.

The Beretta basepads fit mine with no fitting required. This was required for me too, as my pinky otherwise hangs uncomfortably off the bottom. This is the best picture I have of the basepads. IMGP1099.jpg

Lack of rubber grips for the '82 is a sore spot for me too. Hogue claims to be "considering it", but nothing is in stone. Considering the number of mil surp '82s and current '83s in the market, I am surprised no one has done rubber yet.

I ended up going with wood (see the pic above), and have since put rubber grip tape on the front and back straps. This actually makes a HUGE difference for me. If I hadn't bought the wood grips, I would probably just add grip tape to the sides.

Have you considered the liquid rubber tool handle dip, it's not hard rubber, but should stick well enough and give you rubber texture grips

That was my plan too. I tried it and it worked perfectly--for a week or two. Ultimately it kept peeling off, and I could not get it to stick. I tried several different kinds of automotive spray rubber, and nothing worked particularly well.

Um, the 9mak and .380 are the same mag BODY, the feed lips are different
when someone complains about mag caused problems, often the culprit is a aftermarket .380 mag

They work, just realize that you should match the 83 mag to a 82 mag that you know is good. The feed lips will need some tweaking.

I took a picture or 3 of my vz 82 with Hogue Handalls, for your viewing pleasure. $7.00 out the door at my local sporting goods shop. Had to trim the bottom edge a bit.
