I didn't get mine from Centerfire, but I've read in other posts that they're a reputable outfit. For the price you can't really go wrong.

yeah can you believe that here in fairbanks ak the local shop wants $419 for theirs... the guy gave me a blank stare when I asked what is so special about their CZ. I was expecting some story about how that was the gun that really shot JFK or something...

I bought one from AIM and it is a great pistol. Mine has flaking paint but again, it is a very good pistol at a low cost. Lastly, I am into holster and I love the holster that comes with the CZ82. Regards, Richard:D

WoW! Just got mine from AIM! Man! this gun looks like it has never been fired.
No wear marks on it. I'm working OT right now ,after I'm going to the range and put it to the test.200 rounds. wish me luck:D

Hmmmm

Aside from capacity (and maybe availability) whats the CZ-82 have over a Makarov? I already own a Bulgy Circle 10 Mak, and am wondering if getting a CZ-82 might be redundant.

82's are definitely cool guns. I bought 2 from AIM a few months ago, and both looked like they were brand new. One of them developed a trigger/sear problem where the trigger would not trip the hammer in DA. So I was instructed by CS at AIM to return it for an exchange. They we very fast in the turn around and the CS was good, but the replecement pistol they sent me was in NO way in the condition of the one I sent back. More wear, loose slide, very loose safety.
I have yet to shoot it, but I was disappointed. Maybe I should have sent $10 for a handpick in the exchange (although, I would think that handpick would be standard for the return of a defective product).

lots of the folks over on the Mak.com site say the 82 has a better trigger, and is a better shooter.they also agree the 82 is a Mak on steroids. jwr

I looked at the Centerfire site when the first post was made, and as I recall their display of the CZ-82 said "free shipping" or some such. But it doesn't say that now. CZ prices are listed the same as all their other handguns.

Anybody know if the free shipping is still on for the CZs? (Overnite express adds a large percentage to the cost of one of these guns, so avoiding it is a huge "discount".)

jwr, I will argue with them as I am sure my Bulgie Mak has a better trigger than my CZ82. In my hands the CZ82 feels more like a full sized pistol and it has far better sights. In the end, I like them both but I prefer my custom Bulgie Mak. Regards, Richard:D

I like both by E.G. MAK and my CZ83 but I too find my MAK to have the edge in accuracy.

Nice "Beast" slide Richard. Who made the Grip Stocks?
