I bought a CZ 83 in .380, and being in CA, my gun dealer found me a 10rd mag for it, the originals are 12 rds. He said it is important, with this gun, to buy factory mags, as the aftermarkets aren't so good. I have 2 CZ 10 round magazines, and the gun jams with both. Usually it is after I fire the first few rounds and with 2 or 3 rounds left, a round will not chamber. Excuse my lack of the right terminology with this next part, I'm new to autoloaders. The round will be picked up out of the magazine, and get pushed up into the bottom of the slide instead of into the chamber. This is very annoying, and sometimes pulling the slide back will not clear it, and I have to drop the mag to take the tension off it.
I took the gun apart and cleaned it before shotting it, and it has done this with 2 different brands of FMJ .380 ammo. It jams once every 10-20 rounds.
Any ideas?
