Here is something I posted on the CZ Forum and wanted to share on THR. I am attempting to make the CZ-97 as close to a bullseye gun as reasonably possible.

I had the slide machined to accept a 1911 match barrel bushing. This is a picture of the bushing installed and clearanced at .001".

I can post details for those that are interested in this project.

Wow! You amaze me, as that's the exact same bushing that I would use.

I hope to see your results!
Also, know that when my Doxies are acting naughty, I call them Schmeky!

Especially this one,, a little monster.

I wanted to do a final post on this project. I managed to get to the local indoor range today to test my Project CZ-97. I want to say in my 30+ years of handgunning, I have never been able to shoot <1.0" group at 25 yards from a sandbag rest, and back it up with second group. I managed this today. It appears the CZ-97 can be accurized without a lot of expense.

The first group was 5 rounds in 7/8", followed by a second group of 6 rounds in 7/8". If you want more info, go the CZ Forum and scroll down to the CZ-97 Thread, or just click here: http://www.czforumsite.info/index.php?topic=23141.0

I plan on adding that hammer and may consider going to the combat sights. One of these days I will get Omega or Hakan to make me a set of custom grips for it. I love the look of flame pattern maple with a blued gun, so I went to an exotic hardwoods center and bought a beautiful piece of maple. I understand that the hammer reduces pull weight of the trigger. Anything else you would recommend to further increase the shootability of the gun?
