Can any one explain to me why CZ lists the 97 BD in its catalog. It is virtually unavailable to me in Tucson ,AZ. I am told it will be 8 months for an order to "maybe" filled. I was hoping to be able to handle one before purchase from a local dealer. / buddhas

The 97 is a great firearm. But I recommend you handle one before you order it. It is a very large pistol and as such is too large for some hands. Not sure about availability. Last time I looked they were still being produced. So availability might be a regional issue.

I see them at gun shows on a pretty regular basis. As mentioned, they are a big pistol, and my point of reference is as an owner of a 1911 and S&W 4506.
