I'm curious if there is a replacement for the Compact 40's ambidextrous safety, or if the right hand safety can be replaced with a plug.

The reason is to allow for CT grips.

Thanks.

Oh, and on a side note, what's up with the magazine pads? I heard they initially had issues, and had to redesign the mags, and now they are no longer flush fit. CZ needs to update the website pics, and I assume the height specs. Do they have a flush fit mag that maybe hold fewer rounds for compactness?

I don't know about the magazines, never had a Compact 40, and all of my compact mags are flush fit, not the rubber bumpered style. As for the safety issue, I'd reccomend getting a hold of Angus at Ghost Products, aka czcustom.com, 1-480--969-1311. If I needed some custom CZ gunsmithing, his crew is the one I would call.

I put rubber-covered floorplates (available from CZ Custom; some mags have them already) on my PCR's magazines because the original flat flush-fitting steel ones bit into my little finger. Now they are no longer flush, but the protrusion is minimal and it is much more comfortable to shoot.
