I am looking for flush fitting factory high (normal!) cap mags for a PCR. Can someone recommend a source?

(I am familiar with the idea of using 10 round .40 caliber mags.)

I see that Dallas Tactical has CZ-75 compact mags for $37.50 each. I assume those are the right mags?

Any problem using full size CZ-75 mags? How much do they stick out the bottom? Are there problems with over-insertion?

Thanks for any help. This is my first Compact CZ -- I loved the 75 that I had.

I have the CZ Compact, which is a similar gun (same size, same mags but steel rather than alloy frame.)

Until you find the factory mags you're looking for, at a reasonable price, you may want to investigate the Pro-Mag mags for the CZ-75B Compact in .40 S&W. They function well and hold 14 rounds of 9mm.

Pro-Mag has a flakey reputation, but don't let that put you off -- at least with regard to THESE particular mags. You'll immediately see responses about how bad Pro-Mags are, and why ou should avoid them. Ignore them -- when addressing THESE mags.

These mags were made for the 75B Compact in .40. Unlike other Pro-Mag CZ mags, these were not made to work with the various clones, too. (The 75B Compact in .40 was a gun that was to be introduced years ago, but it didn't happen. CZ just recently imported a new 75B Compact, using the P-01 frame.)

Many members of the CZ Forum use these mags, and they function well for all but the oldest PCRs and Compacts (which have tighter mag wells).

These can be found at variouis sites for prices range form $13 - $20. There are also links to suppliers on the CZ Forum. Shipping costs are the thing to watch for.

Actually it looks like recently CZUSA got their webstore working...and they are available directly there.. You want the mags for the CZ compact... the compact, PCR and P01 are all the same in 9mm...

They are compact mags, the PCR/PO1/Compact are all the same configuration.

Umm...sort of....

The "standard" CZ75 Compact mag has a curved steel baseplate instead of the rubber/plastic baseplate. I bought one, stuck it in the gun, and sold it without even firing a shot. I absolutely hated the way the metal baseplate felt against my pinky. If my P-01 had a mag like that in it when I first looked at it, I never would've bought it.

I can understand why you felt that way with the P01, having the shorter grip. My 75BD actually feels decent with the flat mag since it's longer.

I prefer the curved metal baseplate, even if the little lip bothered me I'd just dremel it off and make it flush with the grip, The metal baseplate makes the grip WAY smaller than the rubber and doesn't catch clothing while concealing...

Nothing wrong with the rubber, but I carry the metal one in the gun, and have a rubber one as backup.

I ordered from CZ-USA off their web page last night and got e-mail confirmation of shipment this morning!

Thanks everyone. Obviously the web store is pretty new -- my order number was 50!
