Decided to save myself some money and got the C100 instead of the CZ. Moving to another state that doesn't have Academy stores, and couldn't pass up the $329 price tag. Gonna shoot a couple hundred rounds through it before I throw some Cajun Gun Works parts in it. This is my second Canik, but first Tristar. Two 15 round mags, ordered a few 14 round flush mags and rubber grips ftom Midway. Only gripe with the gun are the grip panels.

They seem to have changed the slide release and safety on the C100 to be the same as the P100. The part you press your thumb against is slanted while older C100s were horizontal like on the CZ75. Or maybe the assembler just took the wrong parts out of the bin.

I have two C100's and an L120. Very reliable and solid guns. I love mine, which is why I own several.

The safety, mag release, trigger, mags, and grips are all different than the very first ones.

The safety and mag release, as noted, are like the P100.

The grips are no longer checkered and thankfully no longer have cute little dolphins on them.

The old mags were lower capacity and held 13 according to the witness holes. Mine actually loaded and reliably fired with 14 rounds though so I may have gotten some with newer base plates than bodies.

Finally, unless I just can't see it from the photos, the trigger used to be serrated up front. One of my C100's has a serrated trigger and one has a smooth trigger.

I think the newer ones are all smooth but am unsure.

In any case congrats on a great gun. I think if they warramtied them longer than a year other companies would have a serious competitor. I do think in a few years they'll be more popular and possibly more expensive because of this.

Man that's a handsome looking handgun.

Looks like it'd make a nice carry companion to my 75 SA.

That price is awfully hard to pass up as well.
