They look nice and I handled one the other day at a shop - darn nice for the money.

Anybody have, or shot one?

CZ handguns and rifles are excellent. Their shotguns, however, leave a bit to be desired. They're made in Turkey by Huglu and have a mixed reputation for quality. Search on Huglu for more info.

Got several and frequently shoot two CZ doubles. So far they have been an exceptional value. CZ has 5 year warranty if I understand correctly. I think part of conversity on Hulu was that some guns intended for third world markets (lesser quality) got into USA some years ago.I have been very satisified in every way with mine .I also have several CZ rifles and quite impressed with them and though my experience is limited with warranty CZ was very prompt in correcting a clip spring issue . I have no interest in CZ other than being a satisified customer. Hope it helps.

CZ

I handled a CZ O/U at my local Gander Mountain recently (I think it was the Redhead) I'm not sure, however I opened the action and tried to close it and it wouldn't budge! I asked for help from the guncounter guy, he couldn't do it either as well as their gunsmith. I liked the gun overall, but was disappointed when that happened. I love CZ pistols! I have two of those and they have been GREAT shooters. Maybe CZ needs to tighten up the QC over at Huglu. Another option maybe Dehaan shotguns. He's got his own forum on www.shotgunworld.com Dehaan also has their guns made by Huglu, but I think to a different spec. I don't own a Dehaan but it may be a good option if you really like the CZ.

The Redhead Deluxe guns are very nice for the money. To get better, you have to spend almost double the money. And the wood that I've seen on the examples coming through my shop have been far above par. It's no Citori by any means, but they are a heck of a lot cheaper, look good and shoot very well too. I like them.... but I'm saving my pennies for a Cynergy synthetic.
