I have narrowed it down to these two being one of my next purchase's. Just wanted to get some thoughts on which one to get first as sooner or later I'll have both. I know the FN is a more expensive pistol and thats why I don't have it already. I originally started out wanting a FNP 45 USG but the FNX has replaced it. Not sure what all FN changed about it? I have held the CZ before and it like all CZ's felt wonderful. I do own a CZ P-06 so I'll be looking for the 07 in .40 also. Suggestions? Let the fun,.... begin.

Any and all thoughts and help is much appreciated!!!

Im biased, I say get the FNX.
Either in the standard or tactical. I could not figure which one to get, so I got both.
CZ's well they are OK, however just not my cup of tea.
Be fore warned there are no extra mags for the FNX to be had right now, each gun comes with 3 mags.

I would go with the FN as well. Doesnt really matter if it is an FNP or FNX, all fine handguns. I would certainly trust my life to an FN. Good luck on your choice.

My FNP-45 Tactical is the most accurate handgun I own.

I would go with the FNX .45 because it's one of the few double stack polymer pistols available that I can hold comfortably in my hand. I like its ergonomics and control features, and I also like the forward rake of the grip frame.

I love CZ's but dislike the .40 S&W. So I'd go with the FNX 45.

Check out the XDm 45 Compact 3.8 before you make a decision on the 45.

A little late here, but I have the FNX-45. Quick review.

The slide is the standout feature. They did a great job on the slide. Looks like it is milled. The parts are pretty high quality as well, hammer is a nice solid part. The serations on the slide are just about perfect front and back. The barrel is very well crafted as well.

Other standout feature is the 2nd-shot. The reset is short and the second shot is just the right weight. You can followup very quickly. You have to cycle the slide if you want to demo this at the store.

If you have big hands, it grips and points very well. Feels cheese-grater at first, but after a minute you realize it is just a really solid grip. It doesn't look it, but once you hold it you get it. The beaver-tail area on the frame makes it nice. You get a very high hold, so the recoil is softer than just about any other 45 you can think of. It's uncanny. Shoots hot loads and normal loads equally well and cycles perfectly.

For the negatives, well, it's kinda like a glock in the way it runs. In other words, I still shoot more accurately with your 1911. Other negative, the sights aren't anything special. And being an FN, it won't have the million sight options that the Glocks and Springfields have. Would look at replacing the stock sights with night sights in any case.

Reliable as heck, and fast and accurate shooter, so recommended. I haven't shot the SARK2 though. So I would think you might add the XDM 45's and the SARK2 to your list of things to try. FNP-45 Tactical and the XDM 45 Competition are probably more sought after, but these days, good luck finding those.
