I have experience with CZ s and like them. Not familiar with the P-07.

What's a fair price and what are your experiences?

Today was a day full of much rejoicing, a day of glory and wonder! And, I went to the range. You see, our 9 year old went back to school today! Halleluja! And, I went to the range...and remembered the camera this time!! ;D

Insert Handel's Halleluja Chorus here.

So, I got to the range, August Arizona sunshine already building up, was a nice 90 degrees when I left at 0845. Yummy, and as you can see here, the sunshade really doesn't do any good this early in the morning.

So I set up, with some factory stuff, and various handloads.

And went to work.

It's hard to get those "action" shots right using a timer... ;D

I love those relaxed fit carpenter's jeans, but they sure make me look dumpy. Can you tell I am carrying three firearms, not including the one I am shooting? Legally, too. I love this state!

And the results?

This last target also represents my two failures today. One failure to lock back on last round, and one failure to feed. Now, an experianced handloader will see my load listed is way UNDER normal load range, and is classified as too light. Works great in the P01, but was a touch too light for the P07 to function normally. :-[ Oops.

Everything else worked perfectly, . One thing was instantly obvious - the sharp checkering was not going to let me not notice it. Recoil was VERY manageable, but the sharper jolts let my palm know that checkering wasn't going to let that gun slip at ALL.
All magazines functioned properly with good ammo, (excluding the lead reload. ), dropped free full and empty, and the sidearm worked as advertised. I must say if it keep this up, I will be very impressed! What the heck, I AM impressed!

Some issues with mags not falling free and triggers sticking on the first runs, but otherwise seems to holdin up well.

I like mine but without a doubt the sights leave much to be desired.

For me, part of the reason for buying a CZ is a lightweight alloy frame that looks sharp and is durable.

I have ZERO interest in poly CZs. as much as I love the steel / alloy ones, and own 3, the Poly CZs hold no interest for me at all.

If I was going to go poly I would go with a well supported pistol like a M&P or a Glock.

Got mine at Academy $459 + tax. Feels very comfortable, shoots to POA. The sights don't bother me. My shooting buddy doesn't much care for the backstrap, though. To rough for his liking.

I almost bought one last month...bad reports from the first run on the CZ forums kept me from completing my purchase. They have had some pretty horrible failures!

I went with a used Sig Pro 9mm instead. (SP2009). It's DAO but my father in law likes it.

Almost the same size...

I carry my P01 all the time, and am very fond of it. Recoil is a bit snappier in the P01, not much.
My P01 will always be my carry pistol, but the P07 is doing some darn good shooting.
