I was offered a standard Glock 23C today for a straight across trade for my CZ 75 P01 which has an upgraded trigger, night sights and Guide Rod.

This Glock is standard with the compensator and no night sights. it also has a rail like the P01...

What is everyone thoughts? I mean, I like the Glock and would like to have one, but at the same time, the CZ is one of my most accurate guns.

Im confuused!!!

Funny you asked. I was sitting here admireing my CZ P-01 and selling my Glock 23 tomorrow! Don't get rid of the CZ..you will never forgive yourself. The Glock is a fine weapon but you can't spit without hitting one and for me, they lack the soul of a finer weapon like the CZ. The P-01 fits my hand perfectly and, like you said, it's very accurate.
Oh yeah, the money I'm getting for the Glock will go towards another CZ (SP-01)....

I have a 19c and it is on par with my makarov(my favorite gun). 4200 rounds have gone through it w/o failure of any kind. If you like the feel of the 19/23/32/38 frame, rock out!! Might take a little adjusting to the trigger and feel, but when you get it, you'll have a rock solid, reliable piece.

Can you tell I'm a fan?:)

HM;

I don't have either, but only because I just haven't gotten around to buying the CZ yet. I'm an opinionated SOB though; tell you that up front. Therefore, I'd rather have a bucket of fertilizer for the garden than a gork.

thanks guys for the replies. I knew when I started feeling kind of bad about the possibility of the trade that I didnt want the Glock. I guess I just needed reinforcement. I am keepin my CZ>. i didnt thikn i wanted it because i have a SIg 226... in 9 as well.. thkning in dont neeed two 9s well i dont need 5 1911s either.. yet i still have them...

I just like steel/alloy guns. Therefore, I say....P-01. Glocks are great too. I don't really care for Glock triggers, however.
I have a P-01. Love it, but could use a trigger job, especially for that first DA pull. Mine hasn't lightened up enough. Maybe 1000 rounds through it.

I had a glock 23 and I have a CZ P-06--the .40 version of the P-01. I sold the glock because I consider the P-06 better in many ways. It points more naturally for me, is noticeably more accurate, and fits my hand perfectly. both are reliable. I've had to do some considerable trigger work on the CZ to make it perfect. I like the Glock magazines much better, and the 23 has a capacity of 13, instead of my 10 in the CZ. But the P-01 has 14.

It depends upon what you want.

1. .40S&W is more effective than 9x19mm. It also has more recoil and muzzle flip. I bought a Glock 19 instead of a Glock 23 because of the muzzle flip of my Glock 22. Some people claim there's LESS muzzle flip with a 23 than a 22. I've never shot a 23, so I can't say.

2. With a 3.5lb. connector and the "$0.25 trigger job", the Glock trigger works very well for me. I've put off buying a .40S&W CZ75B because the standard trigger has too long of a reach for me. There's supposedly a shorter trigger, but I've never had the opportunity to try it. Having to do modifications which are MUCH more involved than changing/polishing connectors on a Glock before I can even use a gun inclines me against the CZ.

For ME, the Glock would be the better choice.

I wouldn't get rid of your CZ to get a Glock, but I would still get the Glock if at all possible. I am starting to really like the Glock platform, don't know why, never liked them before I owned one, but the compact Glock is a very tight package and works well.

And two 9mm pistols is a good thing, I'd sell one of five 1911s before I sold one of one Sig-Sauer or one of one CZ.

Glocks are good guns- even those of us who don't personally like them have to admit they are well made and reliable. However, I wouldn't trade a P-01 for one. If you like the P-01, the Glock will feel like a brick.

I have a P-01 that, truth be told, I don't have much of a real need to keep. However, I haven't put it up for sale because I just am not convinced I'd be happy with letting it go.

I'm also of the opinion the Glocks have no SOUL, or real appeal for me.

They work well, but CZs and other guns work very well for me too.

Save your CZ and buy Glock down the road. They are common and cheap in my area.

Every once in a while. I'll shake hands with the enemy:)

Actually, I sleep with the enemy.

Mocha_Glock has no love for CZs like I do.

She lives in Glock world.

She can actually get good hits on the targets.

Up close..CZs and Glocks work about the same for me.

Increase the distance and my CZs are far more accurate.

I can't extract much accuracy from a Glock trigger.

Even shoot my M&P Compact better than a G19.

I owned a 23c w/night sights, and liked it. The night sights on a compensated pistol are for the first round only after dark, because after that the flash ruins your night vision. I still own a standard 23, but I recently got to shoot a CZ like yours, and loved it. I am saving up for one... Keep the CZ

I have the po1 and it's cousin the CZ75 "D". These are two of the most accurate and relibiable handguns on the market. They have "soul"! I've had many people at my local ranges like my CZ's much better that the glocks and XD springfields they just brought.
yes, they could use a trigger job. But I don't do glocks or XD's, trade in a CZ for a glock??? ain't ever going to happen. and my wife feels the same way. She will only buy CZ's or maybe a CZ clone(ok, it happens to be a spinx)
