I usually bird hunt with my 28 ga Browning Citori field but it's getting harder and harder to find places to hunt where I can use lead. WA Fish & Wildlife sites used to restrict lead only on Pheasant release sites but now it's everywhere they manage.
Hevishot and the like in 28 ga is running $40 per box of 10 .
I'm thinking of picking up a 12 gauge so I can run steel without going broke. Also don't want to spend $2500 to buy a Browning in 12 gauge.
So, the CZ Redhead came on the radar. I like the fact that is has ejectors. Also I realize it's made in Turkey, not Czech Republic.
I've read some mixed reviews on the shotgun, figured I'd run it by the folks at THR to see if anyone has experience with the CZ Redhead?
Open to other suggestions as well, prefer O/U with ejectors and choke tubes, must handle steel.
Thanks.
