Welcome to Wisconsin! You do realize you're in the wrong side of the state, however. ;) (Unless you're in Door County...)

I went to the Packers/Bears game at Lambeau in 2019, and the Bears fans that sat right in front of us were nice guys. We had a good time trading jibes, and congratulating when someone made a great play on either side.

I'm no so sure the Packers/Vikings game I'm going to this year will be as cordial.

I worked on one of the blue-gripped Ts2's for a friend, I put a trigger pack in it. I tried it before doing the work, I could have lived with it as is, but the trigger pack did make it lighter and a tad smoother. His had a red dot on it, test firing it was fun.

I had a fun time with a few vikes fans in Favre's first game back in Purple. Of course they were pretty happy cause he kicked the stuffing out of GB, but it was still fun

I live in the Green Bay area, and there are some nice gun shops/ranges in the area. I really like WI, but I get the hell out of it when it starts getting cold.. :)

Go live in Alaska for a few years, makes this place feel nice and mild in the winter.

My dad was from Peshtigo, WI. I'm a Packers fan. Never been to the state.

I do remember fishing one year on a local lake and a fellow and his wife went by in a small rowboat and asked what bait we were using and what luck we were having. I noticed the thick accent and asked if he was from Minnesota. Oh gosh, no! We got to chatting and he said he came out here to visit his son, who had moved out a couple of years prior. He was amazed that you could actually fish without massive amounts of bug spray. He said the bugs and mosquitoes out there were just awful. They were just floored by the beauty and climate out here.

Oh ya, ya know, we all tawk dis way up here, eh? So, dem walleyes bitin' good on dem leeches, den? Try a shiner, n' drift it on a slip bobber, eh? Pull up a whopper fer sure, you betcha!
Gotta go, hey; time fer anudder Minnesota Taco, ya know. (Hamburger in ketchup on a folded slice of Wonder bread)

I dated a Texan for a while. Always was a hoot getting drunk with her friends. They'd put on their best Midwestern don'ca'know accent and I'd go full Texan drawl and we'd have a grand ol time being stupid.

You guys talk funny. Us guys that grew up in Baltimore don't have accents. (Yeah, right) ;)

Cold is cold, no desire to deal with it anymore.

Cold is cold, but a week or so of -10 vs -30 or worse ambient (not counting sustained winds on the tundra) for a month or two is a whole different ballgame :)

I do kinda miss it, don't miss the cord to my engine block heater freezing, shattering, and my water and fuel pump cracking from the engine freezing solid for a week till I could get a new cord spliced.

I enjoy a good snowmobile ride, love the snow, but yeah..the Arctic blasts are tough. I used to watch that Ice Pilots show about the airline in the NWT of Canada..can't imagine trying to keep those old radial engines warm in that kind of cold.

It almost never gets to 30 below in NE Wisconsin. Now, Minnesota ... that's a whole different story!!

I goofed something up here. Anyway, wanted to say welcome to Wisconsin and enjoy your new purchase. Two great choices! About Door County, it’s just like Chicago in the summer. More Illinois license plates than Wisconsin on the weekend, and they bring there driving habits too!

And then there's those darn Muducks! Don't they realize they have their own Great Lake to fish?
(I'm originally from MN, and used to fish from Sturgeon Bay down to Port Washington, chased Kings and Steelhead all up and down that area.)

I escaped from Illinois 44 years ago and it was the smartest thing I ever did. Living "In the woods" was tough on my Wife at first, then she loved it. My very Best Friend still resides there and was absolutely overwhelmed when we walked into a ACE hardware and fifteen minutes later I walked out with a Browning .22/1911. He was like, "That's it? You just show a Drivers License and walk out with a gun?" We actually walked back in just so he could buy ammunition he didn't need just to do it without showing an FOID card. Welcome and vote to keep Wisconsin free. CZ's are all great!
