Has anyone else heard of this rifle from CZ? Below is a description of the rifle and what it comes with. I was looking for a CZ 7Mag and ran across this rifle when searching for it. It sounds outstanding.

Do any of you own it?

Have any of you shot it?

I wonder if it comes as advertised?

The CZ Ultimate Hunting Rifle (UHR) is a new CZ 550 based rifle in .300 Winchester Magnum that comes in at 8 lbs, and includes a minute of angle accuracy guarantee to 600 yards (when purchased as a package with Nightforce 5.5-22 scope & CZ one piece rings) . By maintaining quality control standards unheard of in the industry, the Ultimate Hunting Rifle delivers a level of accuracy formerly only available from high-end custom rifle smiths. We recommend usage of Premium or Match Grade ammunition.

I love CZ rifles and I would love to have a 1,000 yard rifle and this might just be the one?

What do you think?

Great scope. Great trigger. Solid action. It will launch them where you point it. I love the CZ rifles as they are fairly strong actions with good barrels and great triggers.

It's just a 550 with a little better than standard QC, and packaged with a quality scope. If it's what you're after, and it's a good deal to your mind, buy it. CZ's are great guns ( I have 2 550's), but I'm not up to pay that much for a hunting rifle, nor am I a particular fan of .300 WM. Nothing against it, just not my personal preference.

It's not a little better than a standard 550; it has eyes on it every step of the process, and it is stopped, checked all along the way, even during certain steps of the mfgr process. I know a guy who bought one of these, when they were called something else, I can't exactly remember, like a 550 E., or 750 tc. but it is a totally controlled 550 with the tactical stock, bells and whistles on it.
this guy is a rifle fanatic, who also Served in various middle east militaries, let me just put it like that. He also has two other rifles he shoots with it; a Sako trg 42, and an AIG , and possibly a couple of others. He said even though the CZ was much cheaper than the other rifles, that it easily shot as well, or better than the others, and it was his favorite rifle to shoot.
Now whether or not it is the greatest thing since sliced bread- or target/sniper rifles, I don't know, but I trust this guys word pretty well, and i myself am a fairly good shooter, and I also have or had a lot of cz's in my time, and still have a few. I think this would be a fantastic hunting rifle, and will proly be the only one you will ever need for any north american game, and much other game as well. And no one, I mean no one, offers an accuracy guarranty out to 600 yds, and for them to do that, they must have some pretty darn good confidence in how they build it.

CZ are some of the finest, best priced, underrated firearms on the market today.

Buy anything they make with confidence.

i dunno... an 8-pound hunting rifle, plus a nightforce scope? i'm sure it is wonderful for shooting out of stands, but think it wouldn't make the grade for hunting on foot... on the flip side, 8 pounds plus scope is entirely too light for target shooting a 300 win mag at 1000 yards.

this rifle doesn't excite me even a little - but if you would have confidence in it, then you should buy it. confidence in your gear is a very underrated, supremely important facet of hunting.

It has been around for a few years. When it came out, it had a 1MOA at 1000 yards guarantee. Like others have said, it is a slightly beefed up 550 with serious attention to build and component quality. It is pricey, though.
