Looking to get a 40mm and can't decied between the CZ100 and Springfield XD40. The XD is supposed to have a trigger pull of 5 to 7lbs. with a 4lb let off.Haven't seen any info on the C100's trigger wieght. Like the C100 that it has adjustible sights and I hear the trigger pull can be worked on. Also heard that adj. sights can had for the ZD40. Anyone have any info to help me?

Xd40

Let me preface my remarks by saying that I have not owned either the CZ100 in 40 or the XD40. However, I have owned the CZ100 in 9mm and I currently own the XD in 9 also (o.k., actually it's the hs2000, but it's the same gun under a different name). The only 2 things the CZ100 has over the XD is a better finish and the double strike ability due to the dao design. The XD trigger is MUCH better.

As has been stated before, if only CZ would import the CZ110 which has the DA/SA trigger traditional to the 75 series but in the same polymer package as the 100.... *sigh*

Never could find a trigger pull gauge with a high enough range to measure my CZ100 trigger pull. It was long and extremely heavy. By comparison, the 12 pound DAO trigger on my 5946 is light and crisp. It's not as heavy as the trigger on my AMT .45 Backup (I have yet to experience a gun with a heavier trigger pull). I've had 2 XDs and both had a far superior trigger.

Now my CZ100 was completely reliable and very accurate, if you put the time in to master the trigger.

XD trigger is heck of alot better than the CZ100. CZ pull is long heavy DAO. Dont believe they even make the CZ100 anymore they have the CZ110 in Europe which has a trigger system similar to walther p99.

almost bought a CZ100 but I decided to go with a Steyr instead. fit my hand better. XD was not making alot of noise they were mostly out of stock selling like hotcakes.

dont believe the CZ100 pistol is a good pistol in 40S&W. definately on the smallish side and rechambered from 9mm to 40S&W. XD was made in 9mm and rechambered for 40S&W but was a beefy pistol before the conversion and handles the cartridge quite well.

hmm see someone found a mod for trigger.

XD's are alot more popular and plentifull. quick glance dont see hardly any Cz100's floating on auction sites. spare mags look like a pain to find and costly $30+

the cz100 has a polymer type finish havent heard of issues with rust. the XD is known of rust but can get it refinished. can get the XD trigger worked on also though dont see many complaints, very few. with the XD you get 12 rounds +1 in chamber. the Cz your stuck with 10 ban and no ban apparently.

find em both and see what fits your hand try the trigger if you can.
you can see info on the cz110 at the CZ Czech website http://www.czub.cz/index_en.php

the XD is made in croatia and imported by Springfield Armory.
forum to find good info out on XD www.hs2000talk.com lots of good people

cz forum http://p201.ezboard.com/bczechpistols82792

might want to look around. another pistol you might want to add is Steyr M40 though they have newer model coming out some month in the future. similar to the CZ100 series though bit bigger heavier, though was designed around 40S&W and then rechambered to 357sig and 9mm.

hit cdnninvestments.com and check the newest catalog in pdf format they got some nice deals on whole bunch of new and used pistols.

if concealer carry is an issue the cz100 would be better.
