Other than the odd takedown procedure, what is so bad about the PK380? Mine was cheap at $300, is accurate, has easy to see sights. is reliable, easy to load, softer shooting than most other .380s, has OK ergos, and the trigger is good enough for good shots. It isn't a HK, but it isn't supposed to be. I don't see big faults.

I have one and I don't think there is anything wrong with it. It just turned out that I prefer my Glock 42. As you note, the PK380 has a lot of good, clearly it does, after all, S&W has brought out a new pistol that is quite similar.

In the PK380's favor. It does reliably shoot about 50fps faster than the glock and about 80-100 fps faster than the Kimber micro 380. Of course all of these pistols employ some form of locking breech, the PK380 just has a slightly longer barrel.

What my wife and I didn't like about it most was the safety, it if felt very strange that on a modern gun it was merely a hammer block. Also, I've never seen a gun with a frame mounted safety like that that didn't serve as a decocker, that was very disappointing. I felt that they shouldn't cost cut features that make a sa/da desirable in the first place. Carrying with the hammer down was a desirable feature for us so no decocker was a no good. To each their own though. If you are happy with yours don't let me rain on your parade.
