And people wonder why I homeschool my kids. As others have said he will be punished for making the rulers look stupid and should go with the CBS news defense.

Not a smart thing to do.... but
We have been reminded there is no security at school and it cost us no lives to find that out. Remember Beslan Russia the real terrorists are watching and learning these lessons too.

Not sure why he would get locked up for this, just my opinion. Not a bright action at all, but I doubt he will get anything more than a slap on his wrist. Compared to what some ghetto busters get for violent crime, justice will not be served locking this guy up. Once again, just my opinion.

This was stupid.

Yeah, the school was unsecured. Yeah, I guess he made his point. But, he did something that would obviously result in panic, and doing so was ridiculously stupid and misguided in this day and age.

Well he tested security! And now he knows, as they put him in jail, they DO have security and they take a DIM view of what he did.

You know if TEXAS gets teachers with guns (as I hope they do) and some stupid guy does just this, well he will get even a better idea of how well we protect our kids down here!

Deaf

So you have armed teachers down there?

Oh, nevermind, you said if.

Dang, I thought you were actually bragging about something real there for a minute

Okay, I agree that they should pull the same 'in the name of the First' defense on this, throw it in a certain judge's face and on every news channel.

I vote for firing anyone that let him pass.

Then I vote for a solid slap on the back of this guy's head because, seriously, this is exactly the most idiotic thing he could have done.

Funny, I actually know this D-bag. Used to be at the same Fire Dept.

He used to go around quizzing people about equipment he felt that they were supposed to know. 'Have you checked your tank this morning? How many pounds are in it' and so on. He's real condescending, so the fact that he did this doesn't suprise me any. He simply thinks that he's better than everyone else.

He's right to a certain degree, security at schools do need to be greatly improved. This just wasn't exactly the right way to do it. He likes showing people up and I'm willing to bet that this was a way for him to boost his image of himself.

Fun fact : He's also a hypnotist and a comedian.

He has some video of him doing his act on YouTube somewhere.

Maybe he can put the Judge to sleep. :)

I'd hate to be him now.

Heck, I'd hate to be his kid after a stunt like that.

All he needed to do was ask for a meeting with the principal and then talk about security and ask the principal to watch a test of the security.

I enter my kid's elementary and high schools at different points while carrying concealed all the time. At least public schools are not gun free zones here in California.

Is this true? When did they repeal 626.9?

CAL. PEN. CODE § 626.9

(a)This section shall be known, and may be cited, as the Gun-Free School Zone Act of 1995.

(b)Any person who possesses a firearm in a place that the person knows, or reasonably should know, is a school zone, as defined in paragraph (1) of subdivision (e), unless it is with the written permission of the school district superintendent, his or her designee, or equivalent school authority, shall be punished as specified in subdivision (f).

I saw a few posts that said this man bet his life on what their response would be. As undestand the situation he never presented a weapon. And I'm no lawyer but in KY shooting that guy will get yout manslaughter or worse. Yes he is a tool. Were there actions that deserved a response of deadly physical force?
