    I must admit that this video is funny but it still is rather cruel to Harry Whittington. They take a personal tragedy and turn into a politically fueled sideshow just to poke fun at Cheney. Jon Stewart was even thanking God that this tragedy occurred so he could report it. You could almost see the thought "I really hope this guy dies" repeating itself in his mind.

    Lighten up. They played this video on Fox and Friends and even the Fox people were laughing.

    I agree. It's not nearly as important as the release of another batch of torture photos and videos taken by American soldiers at Abu Ghraib.

    One gets yucks on late night TV in the US; the other is denounced as America's Shame on the front covers of European newsweeklies while getting scarcely a mention in the American press.

    Maybe the European media just has a greater appreciation for vintage news than does the American press.
