hello everyone- got a question that i hope someone could answear. i bought a daisy 2213 for next to nothing because it had no magazine or rear sight. where could i get parts and information on this gun? i've tried searching and cannot find anything on the 2213- i have found info on other daisy .22 bolts and singles and semi's. this model is a semi auto, mag feed , wooden stocked .22. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time!

IIRC, the "Legacy" series was Daisy's last attempt to capture a portion of the RF "kid's" rifle market segment. They showed some unique and, in some cases, usefull design features ie: butt stock adjustable for LOP without tools. At least the plastic-stocked BA that I purchased to teach my then-SO's young son did. Also had a Ruger 10/22-esque rotary mag, I believe. They were discontinued after a relatively short time after disappointing sales volumes.

There were three basic models, IIRC: a SS bolt action, a magazine-fed repeater BA, and a semi-auto. I believe that there was a wood stock & forend option available at extra cost.

While the light weight and handy size were 'pluses', I was somewhat unimpressed with the quality of materials used to take advantage of streamlined manufacturing methods in order to keep costs low. The plastic stock wasn't particularly rugged, and the Zamak receiver et al gave me some serious misgivings as to its potential longevity in extended use. The finish on the metal was some sort of matte black paint, and was not very durable.

On the positive side, it was quite inexpensive and surprisingly accurate for its modest price. It was also easy to clean and very reliable in function. My longevity concerns were never really tested IMO, as less than 1,000 rds went through it while it was in my possession.

The only possible source for parts that I can think of for these now-obsolete little rifles would be Numrich (The Gun Parts Corp). Haven't had a current catalog in several years, but contact info I have is: (914) 679-2417; Fax: (914) 679-5849. Be aware that these are severaL years old and may have changed. A Google might turn up a web site.

Hope this is of some help.

thank you for the info- i emailed daisy and they still have parts available. $5 for a mag and $4 for the missing sight and $3.50 s/h. I can't beat the price considering all total i will have $57.50 into it. Thanks again for your time.

Daisy Legacy .22s

Hi,
Newbie post here.
I recently emptied the gun cabinet of a recently deceased relative and found a slightly used Daisy legacy 2203.
This gun is a semi- automatic with a 10 shot magazine. It is in very good condition.I went out to my range without cleaning it,just threw some of the cheapest Winchester White Box I had around the house and went plinking.
This little Youth type gun was amazing. It shot the cheap ammo with almost no problems. When I used some CCI MINI MAG, you could really see this gun was impressive.Cheaply made..yes..no parts available yes... I was lucky enough to have 2 mags in the rifle bag...but I've shot almost 500 rounds through it in the last round and I am very impressed.
