Hello Folks,
I'm in need of some information here in the Dallas / Ft. Worth TX area for shotguns / rentals.
I live in North Carolina, but I'm currently here in Dallas for 13 days on business. I figured I'd have better luck here in DFW, than NC for a gun rental.
My background in Shotguns is zero...... Got to learn sometime.
Here's the problem:
I'm in the market for a 12g shotgun, specifically an autoloader. I think I've narrowed it down to the following models.
Beretta 391 (parallel)
Benelli Cordoba
Winchester SX3
Remington 1100
My local range back in NC has 2 skeet ranges, so I'd say this shotgun is going to be used 90% of the time for Skeet. After some practice, I'll drive farther to the Sporting Clay Clubs back home. Also I will probably start shooting 3 gun comp as well, since the shotgun is the only piece I'm missing. But primarily 90% of the time this will be a Skeet gun. Can one gun accomplish all of this?
Before I make this purchase back home, I would really like to rent these guns and take them for a test drive.... It's about impossible to find a Benelli to rent back home. I've got to figure this GAS vs. RECOIL Operation thing out.
Is there any place in the Dallas / Ft. Worth area where I can rent these guns???? One place would be great, but I think it's going to be a snow balls chance in hell for that..... LOL
This adventure is going to be my up in coming Friday evening and weekend project, while squeezing in stops at Bass Pro, Cabelas and the Beretta Gallery.....
