Where are the good gunshops in Dallas TX area? Looking for Glock 17 mags, and the 33rd ones. Thanks

Where in Dallas? In order of my preferences, for full service gunshops:
There's The Bullet Trap, in Plano. They are some great folks there.
There's also Gunmaster, but I have yet to visit them.
There's also Dallas Public Safety Supply on Elm, downtown.

Doc's on Whitlock just ease of I35. He's a little quirky 'till you get to know him, but the best 'smith in the area and will definately go the extra mile for you. I throw every dollar I can his way. in fact I think that might be where the expression "getting your pay Doc'd" came from.

McClelland's on Centerville Road, nearly in Garland. Not far from White Rock Lake.
The aforementioned Lone Star Guns and range in Plano is good, as is Targetmaster range and store in Garland.

If all you need is magazines then you definitely do not want to buy them from Bullet Trap or GunMaster.

Or better yet wait a few weeks and see Jeff Schramm at Big Town or Dallas Market Hall gunshows. Reportedly Schramms and another dealer got in a price war on Glock mags. Something like $10 or $11 each.

It's good that you have no connection to Lone Star Guns. It was burned to the ground by it's owner in 2004. In June, he got sentenced to 27 years for arson, fraud, etc. One instance of the BATFE doing good for gunowners. He burned up quite a few guns that didn't belong to him.

Lone Star Guns is dead-n-gone; has been for several years. I live on the north/east side of the Metroplex and generally frequent the Bullet Trap or Gunmaster. Gunmaster has a bunch of used Glock mags; might be worth a call to see what they have that you might could use.

D-Ray's closed up awhile back and went back to Ray's Hardware and Sporting Goods on Singleton. I'm surprised Ray's hasn't been mentioned yet- it's worth the trip into Indian Territory to go see the place and the vast selection.
SPS Guns at the SE corner of Josey and Beltline in Carrolton is a favorite haunt of mine. Larry's a good guy and Mocha the chocolate Lab is a great dog. I was in there yesterday and I believe I saw an excellent supply of Glock mags.

I made a boo-boo when I mentioned Lone Star Guns. I meant to say The Bullet Trap, a gun store and range. The former Lone Star shop was near there, as I recall.
Targetmaster in Garland is still open, I think, and has some good guns, although the prices aren't anything special.
Generally speaking, I've found better deals at Bachman Pawn and Gun, and at the Market Hall gun shows, they usually have tables, with good prices.
Isn't Jackson Armory near SMU still in business? Haven't been past in some months. They should not be confused with the former Jackson Arms that was on Hillcrest across from the SMU campus for decades. They closed years ago. Jackson Armory is unrelated, and is in Snider Plaza. But they do carry many of the collector guns that the other Jackson specialized in.
Academy Sports on Forest Lane has some good values. CZ pistols, which are hard to find elsewhere in Dallas, are in stock or were when I got mine there a couple of years ago. Also have a good selection of Rugers and Smiths.
Finally, the Beretta Gallery in Highland Park Shopping Center is a remarkable shop. One of five Beretta Galleries in the world, they stock a wide range of Beretta and Sako guns, including some of the very finest. Don't look for low prices, but the staff were especially helpful when I bought a shotgun there awhile back. Very good selection of their products.

I second the recommendation to The Bullet Trap and Bachman Pawn. Cheaper than Dirt in Fort Worth is a good store if you are in that neck of the woods. The internet is still your cheapest route for mags.
