Dan Wesson 357 SM rear sight looks strange!

Is it normal for the Bo-mar rear sight to sit farther back on the topstrap than the factory sight? It is the sight designed for the DW Supermag, it's ridgidly secured, but looks to me like the sight isnt fitting correctly. The factory sight was so loose it wasnt funny! Thanks-

Doesn't seem like the design would be much good for anything but target shooting. Sorta really leaves sight exposed, but maybe I'm missing something.

I replaced the very poor early design Dan Wesson sights with some from Millett, and they fit down in the frame like the stock sight did.

Thanks Joe. Do the Millets require a higher front sight like the Bo-Mars do?

The Millletts use the stock DW front sights, though the rear notch is just a tad shallower than the stock rear.

I immediately replace all stock DW rear sights with Milletts on my personal DWs. The original sights are just that bad!
