Howdy all, I'm JDalton, and I'm new to THR.
I've got a Dan Wesson 732 (1 of my 40 handguns) with a 4" & 6" barrel.
Is this gun rare? I was thinking of having it reamed to the new .327 Fed Mag (it sure seems strong enough) - but would I be desecrating a viable collectible?
I appreciate your input.

Since I love the .32 mag, I would leave it as is. If I just had to have a .327, I would buy a Ruger GP-100 in .327. (Considered it)

If I bump into a DW .32 Mag reasonably priced, I am going to jump all over it.

I suspect the DW purists would try to convince you not to do it, or sell the gun to them.

Please don't ream one or both of those barrels. Check out the Dan Wesson forum. You might specifically call Eric of EWK Arms. He might be able to make a barrel like you want.

I try not to look at Dan's too much. I bought one, a model 22, and within six months bought three more, a 740, a 715 and a beater 14. I love my Dan's. I still yearn for a beater model 12 with the exposed nut, a pristine model 12 or 15, a model 32 and a model 741. See what I mean. I have a weakness for DW's. :D

You may want to talk a custom smth of the likes of bowden as the pressure level of the 32fed mag is 20% higher than a 357 mag at 45,000psi for the 32 fed and 35,000 psi for the 357mag. It is a easy change as only the chmabers need to be lenghtend .125"
