Just bought a new DW 744 44 mag at the gun show, It had a 6 inch barrel on it but I had them put the 4 inch on and a set of Hogue grips.
Ill buy the different barrels later.
My initial impression of this is thats its a very well built revolver. The fit and finish is great, the trigger feels great maybe 4-5 lbs pull in single action and about 10 in double. The trigger pull in double action is very short compared to my S&W 629. They really seem to have went overkill on the strength, everything about this gun is very beefy and stout, it really dwarfs my 629's.
Ill post a range report as soon as I get it out.

Except for it being stainless and therfore Not A Real Revolver (NARR) you done good. Get a Wolff reduced power spring kit and it will really be amazing.

DW's are known for their strength and accuracy. The newer models like yours have forged internals and take action work much better than the older models.
Congrats and where are the required pics?

If I can ever get someone over here to post pics for me I will, I have tried a number of times and just cant get it. Thanks for the replys.
