Folks,

At present, I'm working on three projects:

1) The whole CCW thing. We're closing in on the final lawsuit to actually FIX this crap, pending getting certain specific people through the application process and with "standing to sue". The lawyer is lined up. We have enough research on the equal protection violations and especially *racial* discrimination evidence to proceed. We even have the case law and gameplan together - see also "A Practical Guide To Race And Gun Control", esp. the 2nd chapter - the 1st is good background, but isn't what we'll use in court:

http://www.ninehundred.com/~equalccw/practicalrace.html

2) We have two mild CCW reform bills in play this year. I'm feeding data to both efforts (AB462 by Haynes and SB435 by Knight) and helping prep 435 for revision.

See also this document for an example of what I mean:

http://www.ninehundred.com/~equalccw/AB462.PDF

(A second version is being customized for SB435.)

3) I'm involved in a MAJOR project, sort of a "continuation of the MMM thing". Can't go into details yet, not in public.

The good news: I've got funding to keep operating full time coming. Some professional writing projects are in the pipe, a locally produced grant in a few weeks it appears, and that'll give me a little extra to kick off the holster biz and stay solvent long-term.

Problem: I've run flat out of operating cash to live for those two weeks. I need about $300. If you can help, and you're previously known in the RKBA world, I can show you what #3 is about, and why having to walk away for a while just to earn survival cash would be a mess.

If you can help, or know of a possible grant source, drop me a line at [email protected]

Thanks in any case for reading this far.

Do you have a paypal acct set up?

If not, you should consider it. It could even be an under the table slap in the face considering their recent policy on not allowing their service to be used for the sale of firearms.

Ask and ye shall receive, Jim. I can pitch in a couple bucks...just name your first born son Gabe...

- Gabe

Jim - I haven't talked to you person to person ever but I DO follow everything you are working on (that I know of) and would be happy to help you get through the next two weeks...

Let me know how and where to send a check and you got it... May not be much but I know it will help...

I'll mail ya a check if ya give me an address.

Everybody here talks the talk, but not everybody here walks the walk, especially the way you do, Jim. I'm proud to have you on our side.

'Kay, I've got a PayPal addy:

[email protected]

If you want to snailmail a check, EMail me. I can't give my home addy out on a public forum, I've got just too much dirt on too many sheriffs to make that a sane idea :).

Folks: thanks.

Ladies and gentlemen, Jim is fighting OUR battle on the very front lines. There are 4,246 registered members of THR as I write this. If just HALF of us actually care about doing something other than moaning and bitching, we can help our cause forward a long way.

Just $5 each would go a loooooong way. Do $20 if you can. Nobody needs to pop for hundreds. If everyone would just pass up a six pack and send the cash to Jim, he'd be in good shape to carry on the fight.

This here looks like a good place to put up or shut up!

Action Needed

Forum Members:

I have just reviewed 3 documents.
Information makes it blatanly obvious that a) something is up, b) something needs to happen, and c) Jim needs our support.

IMO information confirms this has a broader reach, coming to town near you?--nope--machinery already in place...watch six

Money on the way. I'm just sorry that it couldn't have been more.

For all the time that Jim puts into fighting the good fight for all of us we need to help him out now. Just a few dollars from a lot of people can make a difference.

Greg

Done.

If you haven't gotten enough by this weekend, drop me an email and I'll do what I can.

Jim needs our help, he is fighting for freedom. It may be in the Socialist state of CA., but where else is it more needed now.

If Jim can pull off more of what he has done already for RKBA, and put a stop in CA. It may cause other states to think twice about screwing with the RKBA.

PS: No I dont live in CA. I live in a state of total dismay that this Republic is becoming a Socialist haven for all the scum that thinks we should be some kind of "ism" like socialism, communism etc. ism`s.

$5 inbound via paypal. it's not much, but it's something. if everyone else does the same, we can do some serious good here

oh, and if it's at all possible ...
when you get CCW in CA fixed where more people can get it, see if you can get CA to recognize bordering states' permits, too.

Done!

Sent via Paypal.

Just keep us updated, please!!!

And I'm in Sacto...let me know how else I can help!!!

Update:

Guys, I am seriously impressed.

Here's the situation: given what's already hit PayPal, and the pledges for mail-in money, plus one pledge from somebody local for $100 who I'm insisting I'm gonna come over and make him a holster at least :), I've got "survival money" for a month. That's enough time for one of two other planned fundraisers to kick in, and/or an article sale I'm working on...I sent a copy of something neat but not "top secret" to most of the people pledging or kicking in with PayPal.

If another $150 - $200 comes in on top of that, I can get *serious* with the whole holster thing, partner up with a local gunshop and do mail-order sales using their inventory as "molds"...plus get a proper heat gun so I'm doing tighter molds than a blowdryer can do (which is barely adequate).

Either way, I'm in way better shape :). Can't thank y'all enough.

I just sent you 10 bucks via PayPal my friend, I'm glad to help you in the fight for our rights. Good luck to you and yours.
