I've been a member for a long time but relegated myself to just lurking until now. Honestly, I didn't know which forum to post this in because it's a pistol but thought the rifle forum is better suited since I'm going to talk about AR triggers.
I purchased a Daniel Defense PDW in 300 blackout several weeks ago. It will host a suppressor once the government tells me that I'm not an international spy and can take possession. It seems like a well built gun with the exception of the trigger and the fact it doesn't come with sights. I knew that it didn't come with the sights but was disappointed when I pulled the trigger. It's a heavy and gritty 8-9lbs trigger pull. (Measured with my Lyman trigger pull gauge.)
I don't trust that I could polish and modify the existing trigger so I purchased a Geisselle enhanced combat trigger from Aim Surplus. Today I removed the old trigger and installed the new one.
The trigger portion was easy to install. However; installing the hammer made me use words I don't normally use. Is this normal for installing the hammer or is there a trick that I'm missing? Regardless, my trigger pull is a short 2lbs stage one with a nice 2lbs stage two. Range day is Friday and I'll follow up with a report on how it performs.
