I have a new Ruger P-93, 9mm, DAO on the way. I have never owned a DAO only auto, in fact, I have never really liked any SA/DA autos in the past (with the exception of my CZ-75, but it can be carried cocked and locked [condition 1]). I owned a Ruger P-90 .45, when they first came out many years ago, and while reliable, I sold it. I have owned may 1911 pattern guns since, and still do.

I do however, shoot my venerable S&W 586 revolver very well in DA.

So, how do other DAO only auto owners feel about their guns trigger pull and accuracy overall? Is DAO an impediment to accuracy?

Is DAO an impediment to accuracy

If you're talking 25-yard bullseye shooting, then yes. But for IPSC, IDPA or just plain combat accuracy, then generally my answer would have to be no. Once you learn trigger control for your particular firearm, there is no reason you can't shoot it accurately. It is all about feel. Once you learn how to properly squeeze that DAO trigger, you will be able to stay on target through the longer, heavier pull.
