Data for 22 RF

A friend of someone I know well ask me if I would be interested in a pretty significant number of primed 22 LR brass. From what I understand, his Son or Daughter was involved in competitive 22 LR, I think an Olympic thing maybe.

At any rate, I have an opportunity to obtain thousands of primed 22LR brass for next to nothing, but I can't find any data, and have no idea who sells bullets either.

Obviously, it's not a common cartridge to reload, though I do recall 20 - 25 yrs. ago that CCI I think, used to offer primed brass for those who wanted to load their own. I even considered doing this a long time ago, but never acted on it cause 22 LR was so widely available.

I think this one has a crimp tool as well

You won't need much else if the brass is primed besides powder and a way to precisely measure small charges. The heeled bullets are seated with your fingers.

The same company makes a kit for repriming fired brass too.

I would think the person that has the brass may also have the info you're looking for.

Agree with 7.62 Nato or I'm sure you can find some info by googling it. If it works out for you, I have just the tool to check the COAL after seating the bullets, providing you are going to retire from your job to have the time to do it. :banghead: QM

I don't know the whole back story on this guy, but he didn't sound like a reloader, so I seriously doubt he was the one actually doing the loading. I don't know him per say, just a chance encounter. But I'll maybe ask him if he might have any info on who, or where they were getting their components from, can't hurt to ask I guess.

Either way, thanks Silicosys4 for the link and heads up on where to start. That link seems to have everything I'll need to kick things off. This might be kind of fun, I've often considered trying this over the years, now I have an excuse to go for it. I'll let ya know how it goes, I may never buy factory 22 LR again?
