Greetings all

Over the past few weeks, I have posted several questions about things like where to shoot in NW FL, transferring or buying a gun across state lines, etc.

The good news is, today I was able to take my oldest daughter to the range and give her some time with my S&W 638-2. After shooting it in SA and DA modes, and handling some other similar handguns, she decided to emulate her old father, and buy one just like it! :D She turns 21 one month from today, so she put it on layaway to get the price Dad negotiated, and will return to pick it up on her birthday, I am sure.

Thanks to all who helped me answer my questions.

She is alreadytalking about range time, etc. She won't get her hands on the gun itself until next month when her birthday arrives, but she has all the extra goodies, a cleaning kit, snap caps, targets, etc. It is up to her to find an appropriate holster (once she takes the CCW course, of course!).

congrats

my dad had a 625 s&w model of 1989 until my daughter saw it and decided since she and it were both 1989 models she should have it BTW her birthday is june 25 seams fitting. have had her shooting since age five.and the little thing ( just over 5') is deadly accurate with the 45
