Anyone ever buy a gun through Davidson's "Gallery of Guns" and have had to send it back? Do they replace the gun immediately or send it for repairs? What have been your experiences?

My experience with them has been pretty good. I had problems with a SA Ultra Compact. The slide stop notch kept rounding off making it unable to keep the slide locked back. Sent the gun back (after only 200 rounds)....got another one with the same problem! Worked with the local dealer that I got the Davidsons' guns from and they let me choose a whole other brand! That's service.

If you read the paperwork, I think they can either replace or repair the gun in question.

Local dealer is a Davidsons associate. I bought a Ruger SP101 from him that had problems, had a new one the next weekend (shop is only open on weekends). That one had a problem too, had another by the next weekend.
Third time wasn't the charm, it had to go back too. Once again, had another new gun by the next weekend. This time I got a keeper, one of my favorite guns.

I'm a Davidson's gold dealer. I have had no complaints from any of my customers or any from myself. Their sales staff is very easy to deal with. They are one of my main suppliers.

Yeah I love davidsons. I mean I can get up-to-date status on instock guns most of the times, and they get me some things when others can't find them. I've bought two guns so far from davidsons and have had no problems thus far.

I'm not sure who paid shipping in my case, the dealer or Davidsons. All I know is it didn't cost me anything.

Lucky me! I had to pay return-shipping...should have billed Springfield!!

I doubt you will find anyone who will pay for shipping if you have to return a gun. I don't know of any who will. You pay to return it, They pay to ship the new one to you.
